The homeowners had installed a ceramic tile countertop and backsplash in this u-shaped kitchen with a pass-through. They wanted to keep their backsplash, but update the countertop. The installer worked with the homeowners to determine what color scheme they wanted, then installed the new Granicrete right over the old ceramic tile!
This is how the countertop looked before the Granicrete installation.
This homeowner preferred the matte look because it more closely resembles a stone that has been naturally polished by years of tumbling in a river or ocean. Notice how well the installer was able to match the color of the old ceramic tile.

Hi Leah:
Thanks for the request about granicrete. I am going to forward your information to my distributor, who lives much closer to you than I do.
His email is bob@superiorsurfacesne.com
Thanks,

Absolutely! We took a blow torch to one of our samples and were unable to even scorch it! I tried to upload the video of Ron trying to torch the sample to the web page, but it must not be in the right format. This is a cement based product, so it is going to be just as fireproof as cement.
