This picture shows the kitchen counter makeover in a home in Ashaway, Rhode Island. Granicrete© was installed directly over old laminate countertops. The entire process takes 3-5 days for installation. The countertop is immediately useable, but we recommend not putting heavy objects on it for at least one week.
The homeowner wanted a backsplash installed as well. The homeowner custom designed exactly what she wanted, from size and texture to coloring. Formerly, there was no real backsplash, just a four-inch high piece of thin laminate glued to the wall. The installer was able to create this stunning backsplash without even pulling the laminate off the wall!
This homeowner chose the polished stone look for her countertop. It is also available in a matte finish.
In the same home, the owner wanted to update the “guest” bathroom, which had a tiny vanity. Again, the homeowner custom designed the look of this vanity top. She wanted a vessel sink that was mounted off-center in order to allow room for shaving supplies, makeup, etc. Looks a lot better than the old vanity!
At first, the homeowner said they intended to remove all the old wallpaper and paint the bathroom, but a couple of weeks later decided to have the entire wall done in Granicrete©, designed to look like travertine. They are still working on accessories, and have indicated that they may decide to do the entire bathroom, including a new shower stall. We’ll update the photos if they do go that direction.

I was wondering if there are distributors of the granicrete products available to the public? I am a licensed contractor and have installed many concrete countertops but love the look of granicrete, and would love to be able to install them myself..

You must be trained by a certified Granicrete International trainer in order to purchase the product. You can check the Granicrete International website for locations of trainers to find one that is convenient for you.
